The amber on the side of the headlights really bothered. I didn't want to tint it or black it out cause it would have looked weird and off IMO. So I decided to just take it off. Pretty easy mod with a little patience and it made a huge difference. Made my car look much more aggrssive.

I took off the bumper and a couple of screws around the head light housing. Disconnected the turning signal lights, Lo beams ,drl, and the amber light.

Pulled out the head lights and took out the 4 screws around the head lights. Then heatedthe sides with a heat gun. You can use an oven but mine was too small. For the oven method you preheat it to about 250 degrees (I may be wrong) for about 5-7 minutes. Remember to wear gloves or else your hand will burn

You can take a butter knife and open up the seals and pull apart the lens. Then unscrew the amber parts off and cover the holes with electrical tape.

After that do everything in reverse order. Re screw, re heat the glue and firmly press the lens back together. I added more sealant using OEM Honda sealant. Then bam you got yourself a modded headlight

Very Nice man. I wish I would have done that instead of tinting the whole light. I was thinking about cutting the tint so only that amber part of the headlight is covered, but idk how that would turn out.
You'd likely still see the amber from certain angles because the amber lies underneath the actual surface you would be tinting.

Not sure about US motov vehicle laws, but in Canada, the front amber and rear red reflectors must be visible from 150 m (500 ft) away. Canadian polive have been cracking down on this heavily lately, along with being able to see turn signals from 250 m (800 ft) away with the large number of people installing LED turn signals.

Looks great, and this is something I would love to do, but I am far too chicken to go dismantling my headlights....I'd end up with a pile of broken car parts on my floor, lol

MA police have nothing better to do than to harass and ticket people with these simple mods (missing amber reflector, different colored lights, lowered suspension, tint, etc). The less attention I get from them, the better. I'd rather drive a sleeper fast than a tuner car slow.

The reflectors are safety devices and are there for a reason. Lights are a standard colour for safety reasons too. Why would anyone possibly object to enforcement of this safety equipment?

Yup. Ottawa police have been giving tickets for tinted/removed reflectors recently, and rightly so.

I ordered a used headlamp that has a cracked reflector off ebay for 70shipped to do some practice on. Lol, my wife said that we are not cooking in an oven that has had plastic baked inside of it, guess she has a point :) I will use the headlamp for practice with a heat gun if I feel I can confidently get it apart a couple of times I will make a video with my iphone.
