I finally got my Injen CAI in the mail today, took 6 days for delivery. Its installed and sounds great!
here are some pics of the installation
i love the red rubber, they gave you a different color?hahah dope they gave you a red rubber instead
That's kind of what I am thinking (and hoping)Just looking at the pics and remembering back to all the time I spent installing both sets of HIDs through the wheel wells (I didn't remove the bumper). Is it just me or does it look like this is the same area and you might be able to just install the filter through the wheel well after sliding the tube down?
I need to see pics of this on a V6...anyone order the black powdercoated?!
Yeah, cause I'm not sure if anyone has installed HIDs through the wheel well, but I remember being in that area that the pics of the filter are at. Not sure if any of the bends would be an issue... but it should work.I was thinking it might be possible to go through the wheel well too. What do you think Burton?
yea they gave me a black onei love the red rubber, they gave you a different color?

WHy? the bumper takes less than five minutes to take off and IMHO is easier to do that trying to remove the fender lining and having to deal with less amount of room to work with. That's kind of what I am thinking (and hoping)
I've seen the directions for the bumper and it doesn't worry me about taking it off... I've dismantled a few cars in my life to part out and re-build. The only thing that worries me a tad is how a few people have said that taking the bumper on and off they've broken a few clips... I'm assuming that by the pics really the only thing the bumper is needed off for is to put the filter on the end?WHy? the bumper takes less than five minutes to take off and IMHO is easier to do that trying to remove the fender lining and having to deal with less amount of room to work with.
Just by looking at it... seeing the size of the filter and picturing the space under the hood, i doubt you could just stick the filter down there.i wonder if theres enuff room to just assemble all of it together with the filter on n just stick it in there
